Cold War from InfoPlease This site addresses the iron curtain tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union, as well as the emergence of China as a Communist nation. There are also essays about "detente,"
Cold War from Beginning to End from Time Inc. This comprehensive site looks back at the fall of Communism, and has articles about the Berlin Wall, life in Russia today, and a link to a photographic project called "Beyond the fall."
McCarthyism At this site you will learn about how the Cold War affected America, with the formation of the House Committee on Un-American Activities, and Senator Joseph McCarthy's list of suspected Communists.
Space Race At this interesting site, you can see pictures of satellites such as Sputnik, and learn about the competition to reach the moon. There is also a page about declassified paintings of Soviet space weapons.
The Berlin Wall This informative site depicts the history of the Berlin Wall from both sides of the wall. There are photographs, an essay, and an interactive quiz.
